Riverbed Morphologies Induced by Local Scour Processes at Single Spur Dike and Spur Dikes in Cascade

Spur dikes are elongated structures extending from banks into rivers that mitigate erosion by forcing the flow away bank. The research on grouped spur is insufficient in comparison with those isolated dikes. Most of studies focus maximum scour depth, omitting bed morphological changes induced local processes. Moreover, as yet, there no established procedure for predicting depth around This study aims to provide insights temporal and spatial patterns a single dike cascade (three, five, seven, consecutively). Experiments (of up 318 h) were performed rectangular straight channel dimensions 20 m (length) × 1.0 (width) (depth). Nearly uniform sand median grain size 1.7 mm sediment gradation 1.5 was used mobile bed. spacing between elements 3b, where b width. All runs conducted under clear-water regime steady conditions.
